Veiled are the stars and moon while the night wind kisses everything gently. Hidden in its touch is the distant rumblings, blended in with the chirps of frogs and crickets. This wind promises rain not too far off, but none mind. From the screech owl's warning to the bass of a bullfrog, all are adding the background music for this show of nature's skills. This show, which takes place only in the sky.

You can see it, hidden in its throne room. The edge of the room lighted up constantly as it slowly makes its way across the paths of the sky. Rarily do you see its fingers reach down and graze the Earth. Usually it's a show of skill amongst the rolling clouds, the colors emerging to light everything like a midday sun, if only for a second. Such an ominous entity, this lightning is, compared to another that shares its name. Another of a smaller, yet as captivating nature.

Such a fragile thing these are, these little lightning bugs dancing in the gentle night's warm air. Their slender lights never once touching the damp ground, cool to the touch. Alone, their dance seems out of line, not coreographed, ugly. But, amongst others, it's an enchantment that changes with each second. It's a beauty only graced to themselves. Everything of the dark is their audience, yet they dance in their own little world, ignoring the songs of all the other night musicians. They move with grace in their carelessness, as the lightning glares down, threatening to overtake them. You can only watch in awe at the show only nature can combine perfectly. One of power, the other of beauty

the "throne room" is actually a thunder head...yea this was going on last night round midnight...a small thunderhead was rolling in from teh west and lightning was flashing every second in it (literally) and the fireflies were jus dancing around in the field...and so i was bored so i attempted to type something up lmao it's horrible and doesn't catch any of the coolness (u could say) that i saw last night...but i haven't really typed anything story wise in a lil over 4 months so i'm tryin to get back into teh grove...too much critical thinkin part of the brain used last semester *sighs* not enough creative thinking lol so it's a lil hard to swing back into writing..which is sad since i like writing *sobs*
